The iiF26 conference is back due to popular demand – and building on the successes of iiF24, we have added much more into the program. More keynotes and distinguished speakers, more networking during the conference, four concurrent sessions after lunch, industry tours the day before the conference, movie screening, youth engagement and more. And our revered “Regional Revelry” glamourous evening networking event is back too – with South West food, beverages and entertainment.
We’re a statutory authority of the State Government that strives to make the South West an even better place to live, work and invest.
We do so by partnering with communities, government, business and industry to identify and support projects that benefit the region.
Driving economic development outcomes is a core area of focus, with growth, internationalisation and diversification central to our strategic aims.
We play an important role in maximising job creation, broadening local economies, identifying the need for infrastructure services, supporting business, and ensuring access to government services.
We take a holistic approach to ensuring the South West is a region of first choice, also working to improve quality of life, enhance liveability and maximise the unique qualities of the region.
We lead projects like Transforming Bunbury’s Waterfront and the South West Advanced Manufacturing and Technology Hub proposal. We support projects and businesses through the provision of grants or assistance via our TradeStart and Local Content programs.
AMTECH
Advanced manufacturing is identified as a priority cross-sector enabler for Western Australia to help grow and diversify the economy, create jobs and secure the State’s future prosperity.
The AMTECH concept is designed to create an eco-system of technological advancement and continuous learning that will position the South West at the forefront of advanced manufacturing. Learn more.
Waterfront
The potential of Bunbury’s waterfront is being unlocked. And it’s all thanks to the State Government’s Transforming Bunbury’s Waterfront project.
We lead the multi-agency project team responsible for delivering the three-stage initiative that is transforming coastal areas stretching from Koombana Bay to Casuarina Boat Harbour.
Since the initial concept for the project was unveiled in 2015, the vision for Transforming Bunbury’s Waterfront has been making the leap from blueprint to reality.
Stimulating the economy through boosting the tourism and marine industry sectors are important outcomes of this project. Throughout the timeline of the project, there has also been an emphasis on maximising job opportunities and tenders for locals. Learn more.
